PURPOSE: Provided is an incense emitting flame which makes the ritual or religious ceremony more holy by the flame emitted periodically from the incense itself when is used in the ritual or religious ceremony. CONSTITUTION: The incense emitting flame is characterized in that the gunpowder(2) is formulated to the elongate stick type incense(1) to emit the flame periodically in burning. In a preparation method of the incense, mixing the charcoal powders, starch, adhesive and perfume etc. properly to knead it into a mortar form, pressing the kneading in an area to form a mortar layer and form a gunpowder application layer with the gunpowder applied evenly on the pressed mortar layer and repeating the above processes, and then extruding the layers with an extruder to obtain the incense having a general incense shape.
