ANTIBODY FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING LISTERIA MONOCYTOGENES INFECTIOUS DISEASE, EGG CONTAINING THE SAME AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A process of preparing an egg containing an antibody useful in prevention and treatment of Listeria monocytogenes infectious disease from laying hens immunized with flagella proteins of Listeria monocytogenes or a biomass liquid of Listeria monocytogenes as an antigen is provided. The antibody has an excellent neutralizing effect upon Listeria monocytogenes and therefore can effectively prevent listeriosis. CONSTITUTION: Listeria monocytogenes is mass-cultured in a suitable medium and centrifuged, the biomass thereof is crushed and separated to give flagella proteins of Listeria monocytogenes or a crushed biomass liquid of Listeria monocytogenes. Then, laying hens are immunized with them and then an antibody is separated from the immunized laid eggs. The flagella proteins of Listeria monocytogenes have a molecular weight of 29 to 36kDa.
