<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an expansion part for a front seat and an expansion part for a rear seat of an airbag body from moving in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle from a predetermined position in expanding and spreading it, in a head part protecting airbag device. <P>SOLUTION: In this head part protecting airbag device, the airbag body 11 longitudinally has the expansion part 11c for the front seat and the expansion part 11d for the rear seat by interposing an intermediate non-expansion part 11e, and has a communication passage 11b for communicating the upper ends of both the expansion parts 11b and 11c with each other above the non- expansion part 11e. An extensible part S1 (composed by forming elongate holes 11e1, 11e2 and 11e3 extending in the vehicular vertical direction) extensible in the vehicular longitudinal direction in response to the expansion and spread of the expansion part 11c and the expansion part 11d is formed in the non- expansion part 11e of the airbag body 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
