PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent health impairment due to a sick house syndrome by hazardous substances included in building materials. SOLUTION: A natural coating material including only plant extracts is coated on a surface of building lumber, and is made to be penetrated into an inside from the lumber surface by a predetermined depth and to remain on the surface as a thin film by rubbing the surface of the lumber. As a result, the natural coating material of 100% plant extracts not only suppresses emission or discharge of a residual organic solvent contained in adhesive agents in the building materials by sealing in the solvent, but also absorbs and removes the hazardous substances emitted or discharged in the air to clean the air.
