PURPOSE: A method for preparing polybutylene succinate spherical particulate from polybutylene succinate polymer is provided, to enable the particle size and its distribution to be controlled from micrometer to nanometer scale. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of preparing a first solution containing polybutylene succinate polymer and a second solution containing an emulsion dispersant; mixing the first solution and the second solution with stirring to prepare an emulsion; and evaporating a solvent from the emulsion to precipitate polybutylene succinate spherical particulate. Preferably the solvent of the first solution comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of methylene chloride, chloroform, formic acid, concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, and the ratio of polybutylene succinate and a solvent is 1:3-30; and the solvent of the second solution comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a polymer-based three-dimensional emulsion dispersant comprising gelatin, arabic rubber, dextrin, casein, protein, poly(vinyl alcohol), sodium alginate and albumin, and a sorbitan ester-based low molecular weight electrostatic emulsion dispersant comprising sorbitan monooleate, and the concentration of the dispersant is 0.05-10 % (w/l).
