<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dioxin decomposition apparatus capable of efficiently decomposing dioxins contained in exhaust gas, especially capable of efficiently decomposing dioxins while creating power. <P>SOLUTION: This dioxin decomposition apparatus for decomposing dioxins contained in exhaust gas is equipped with a hydrogen ion permeation bed having a function for permeating only hydrogen ions from one surface of the permeation bed to the other surface opposed to one surface thereof, a first electrode provided on the other surface side of the hydrogen ion permeation bed and having an oxygen ionizing function and formed into a tublar shape so as to enable the internal flow of exhaust gas, a second electrode provided on one surface side of the hydrogen ion permeation bed and having a hydrogen ionizing function and a support provided so as to form a gap permitting the inflow of hydrogen along with the second electrode. An oxygen capturing layer comprising a material based on oxygen deficient magnetite is formed to the inner surface of a space permitting the flow of exhaust gas in the first electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
