<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen-storage body of which a hydrogen-release temperature is low. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a hydrogen-storage body is provided, which includes a step for mechanically crushing graphite and metal particles in a hydrogen gas atmosphere. It is preferable that a step for mechanically crushing the graphite and the metal particles in a non-hydrogen gas atmosphere is included prior to the step for mechanically crushing them in the hydrogen gas atmosphere. Thus, in the hydrogen-storage body obtained by mechanically crushing the graphite and the metal particles, a hydrogen-release temperature is lowered.
