PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized compact and inexpensive printing apparatus for a curved surface or the like easy in input operation and simple to handle, and a printing method using the same. SOLUTION: In applying printing to the curved surface to be printed of a product 9 by a screen printing method, the product 9 is rotated around its center axial line at the position just under a printing screen 4, and the center axial line position of the product 9 is correctively moved in the X-axis direction parallel to the printing screen 4 and the Z-axis direction crossing the X-axis direction, at a right angle corresponding to an angle of rotation to rotate the product 9 around the center of curvature of the curved surface to be printed being the center of rotation. This printing apparatus is equipped with an input means 7 for inputting data for relationally operating a feed-in conveyor 1, a loader 2, a work placing head 3, the printing screen 4, an unloader 5 and a feed-out conveyor 6, and a control means 8 for automatically performing printing operation on the basis of the inputted data.
