PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for winding a thin steel strip capable of winding the thin steel strip without using an iron sleeve and without causing a reel mark, a coil collapse, or a coil inner diameter deformation. SOLUTION: A thin thickness sleeve having a wall thickness of 2 to 5 mm is externally fitted to (mounted on) a mandrel of a tension reel from the outside and on top of the sleeve, a steel plate is wound.
