PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation reactor which allows an oxidation reaction in a reactor body to proceed stably and to provide a process for producing (meth)acrylic acids using the oxidation reactor. SOLUTION: This oxidation reactor includes a reactor body 10A and a manhole nozzle 50 protruded from the reactor body. In this oxidation reactor, a partition plate 52 is provided for separating the inside of the manhole nozzle 50 from the inside of the reactor body 10A and, if necessary, the inside of the manhole nozzle 50 is purged with inert gas.
