PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cleaner which has a cyclone dust collecting apparatus with a reduced size, can readily remove dust or the like stuck on a filter in a cyclone whirl chamber, and has high dust removal efficiency. SOLUTION: The electric cleaner includes a cyclone dust collecting apparatus 6 having a cyclone whirl chamber 9 of a substantially cylindrical shape for whirling sucked air and dust, a cyclone exhaust port 14 for exhausting air from the cyclone whirl chamber 9 in which dust is separated and removed, an internal cylindrical filter 16 fitted to the inside of the cyclone whirl chamber 9 from the cyclone exhaust port 14 side, an annular dust removing member 25 provided on the peripheral part of the cyclone exhaust port 14. The internal cylindrical filter 16 is provided at the cyclone whirl chamber 9 so as to be inserted therein and drawn out therefrom, and the surface of the internal cylindrical filter 16 makes slide contact with the dust removing member 25 when it is inserted and drawn out, and drawing out the internal cylindrical filter 16 from the cyclone whirl chamber 9 scrapes the dust on the cylindrical filter 16.
