<p>PURPOSE: A method for operating a communication system is provided to clear an existing unnecessary lower alarm if a new upper alarm is generated, thereby enabling an operator to quickly cope with a problem. CONSTITUTION: If an alarm message for alarms generated in entire base station/control station systems is received(S12), a system collects the alarms(S13). The system classifies upper and lower failures for a currently generated alarm(S14). The system decides whether an upper alarm exists on a management layer among previously generated alarms(S15). If not, the system clears the lower alarms on the management layer among alarms prior to the current alarms(S16). The system stores a new alarm(S17), and outputs the generated alarm in audio/visual graphic user interface and/or text type(S18).</p> |
