PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply control the loading of a flocculant so as to be capable of keeping a stable high turbid substance removing ratio not only during a rising period of the turbidity of raw water at the time of rainfall but also during a lowering period thereof in removing a turbid substance by introducing raw water of a water supply source such as river water or the like into a filter after flocculation treatment. SOLUTION: This flocculation treatment method for measuring the turbidity of raw water is employed to control the loadings of the flocculant corresponding to the measured value of turbidity. When the turbidity of raw water rises by the beginning of a rainfall and subsequently lowers by the stop of the rainfall or the reduction of rainfall, the loadings of the flocculant at the lowering period of turbidity are made larger than those of the flocculant to the same turbidity during the turbidity rising period.
