PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the number of stitching a first pattern when sewing is performed by changing-over the first and second patterns and also to continuously sew the first pattern after sewing the second pattern. SOLUTION: A first hook 47 is sewed by zigzag stitching by receiving a trigger signal when the two straight stitches are made in the half of preliminary feeding distance XD from a position to start sewing a belt shape sheet 45. Then the trigger signal is received at every five straight stitches at in-hook distance HD and at every four straight stitches at the preliminary feeding distance XD. Thus, whenever the trigger signal is received, the straight stitching is changed into the zigzag stitching each time, and the hooks 47 are sewed in sequence by the zigzag stitching.
