<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a condition to notice in advancing one's own movable body based on road surface projection information formed on the surface of a road by a light beam irradiated by another movable body, in relation to a safety device for a movable body. <P>SOLUTION: A beam irradiation machine 24 for irradiating a visible light beam with a pattern determined in accordance with a predetermined rule on the road surface is installed so as to notify another person of the presence of the one's own vehicle. An imaging device 44 having a photographing region for imaging the entire self-pattern projected on the road surface by the visible light beam of the irradiation machine 24 is installed. By processing the image imaged by the imaging device 44, the self-pattern by the visible light beam of the one's own vehicle, and another pattern by another vehicle, infrastructure visible light or an invisible light beam are extracted. It is determined whether or not the one's own vehicle is in a condition to notice in advancing based on the positional relationship between the self-pattern and the other pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
