PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel plate with excellent press formability and workability and its manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The ferritic stainless steel plate with excellent press formability and workability comprises appropriate amounts of C, N, Cr, Si, Mn, P, S, Al, Ti, V and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, has a solid lubricant coating on at least one side and has a ratio Z represented by the formula: Z=Z<SB>1</SB>/Z<SB>2</SB>of <0.5, a tensile strength of≤450 MPa and an average r value of≥1.7, wherein Z<SB>1</SB>is the friction coefficient of the solid lubricant coating surface, and Z<SB>2</SB>is the friction coefficient of a base material surface without any application of coating or lubricant. Optionally, appropriate amounts of Sol-Ti (Ti present as solid solution state in the steel) and Insol-V (V present as precipitate state in the steel) may be contained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
