PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for a steel sheet pile having a high degree of freedom and low cost and can comply with a demand for the production of various kinds of sheet piles. SOLUTION: In the production method of a U-shaped or a hat-shaped or a Z-shaped or the like steel sheet pile, the steel sheet pile 1 having a cross sectional shape different from the steel sheet pile 5 obtained by hot-rolling is produced by forming the steel sheet pile 5 by cold-working after producing the steel sheet pile 5 by the hot-rolling. On the other hand, the size in the width direction of the steel sheet pile is widened or narrowed by the cold-working to produce the steel sheet pile 1 having the size in the width direction different from the steel sheet pile 5 obtained by the hot-rolling.
