PURPOSE:To promote an automatic defreezing of frozen items when they are stored in the storing box by a method wherein a defreezing promoting mechanism is operated in the case that a temperature decreasing degree within the storing box detected by a temperature sensing means is higher than that of normal cooling operation. CONSTITUTION:As a temperature within a refrigerator is less than a set lower limit temperature, electrical energization for a compressor motor 52a and an air-cooled fan 53 is stopped. However, if temperature of the stored frozen items is sufficiently low, the temperature within the refrigerator is further decreased. Then, as the temperature within the refrigerator is further decreased than a fan starting temperature, a temperature sensor Th3 is electrically energized, so that an exciting coil of a relay R7 is electrically energized and a relay R8 in a self-holding circuit 88 is self held in its ON state. Then, a make contact point R8-2 connected in series with the inter- refrigerator fans 30a and 30b is electrically conducted and then the inter-refrigerator fans 30a and 30b are electrically energized by electrical power supplying passages PW1 and PW2 through this make contact point R8-2. Then, the fan 32 is rotated by fan motors 31 in the inter-refrigerator fans 30a and 30b to circulate air within the chamber RM1 and to promote defreezing operation. |
