PURPOSE:To eliminate uderlapping due to the overshoot of a timing valve, and prevent the occurrence of blow-up in an engine at the time of gear shifting actuation between the steps of gear shifting where no one-way clutch of the automatic transmission is set concurrently. CONSTITUTION:The brake B-3 of the transmission has its discharge oil passage 14 connected to a drain oil passage via a timing valve 23. An electronic control means includes a control means which applies 100% solenoid vale SLU signal pressure PSLU to the timing vale 23 prior to the output of a speed change signal so as to prevent the valve from being overshot, and also returns the aforesaid signal pressure back to solenoid valve SLU signal pressure PSLU in response to input torque after the specified period of time has elapsed by a timer, since the aforesaid signal pressure was outputted. |
