PURPOSE:To efficiently separate a non-hydroxy lithium in solid form by adding sulfur compd. to N-methylpyrrolidone containing LiOH and non-hydroxy lithium is solid form. CONSTITUTION:A mixture in which LiOH and the non-hydroxy lithium in solid form (hereafter called as solid matter) such as alkali metal chloride are incorporated in the N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) is heated to <150 deg.C, incorporated with liquid or gaseous sulfur compd. having moles 0.5-2 times as much as that of LiOH in terms of sulfur atom to solubilize LiOH, and residual solid matter is separated and removed at room temp. to 130 deg.C. A molar ratio of the sulfur atom to Li atom in this NMP is adjusted to <=0.5 by means of nitrogen bubbling, etc., then dichlori-arom. compd. is added within the range of 0.9-1.2mol based on sulfur present in a system, and the mixture is polymerized for 1-6 hour at 220-260 deg.C, and a polyallylene sulfide resin with less impurity such as alkali metal good in electrical characteristic is produced. |
