BATTERY DRIVEN TYPE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery driven type electronic device capable of informing a receiver side about a fact that interruption of data transfer results from deficiency of remaining power in a battery of a transmitter side even when the data transfer are interrupted due to deficient remaining power of the battery during data transfer of an image file or the like.

SOLUTION: The electronic device includes: a recording medium 12 on which image data received from an imaging section 11 is recorded as an image file; a communication section 14 for transferring the image file to an external device; a thumbnail generating section 20 for generating a thumbnail file of the image file to be transferred; and a battery voltage detection section 18 for detecting a voltage of the battery 17, interrupts transfer of data during execution when the image file is transferred to the external device and the voltage of the battery reaches a prescribed voltage or below and transfers the thumbnail file of the image file whose transfer is interrupted to the receiver side to inform the receiver side about a fact that the file transfer is interrupted due to deficient residual power of the battery 17 of the transmitter side.
