PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing foldable portable telephone set in which a screen is set laterally when the telephone set is opened. SOLUTION: By inclining at 45°the rotary shaft of a hinge for coupling a keyboard part and a display part, when using the portable telephone set while opening it, the screen becomes lateral, so that a display picture is made easy to watch. Besides, by adding a function for rotating the display part within the same surface as the display screen, the screen can be used while being adjusted to be longitudinal, lateral to the right or lateral to the left.
