<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical circuit component which has high thermal separating performance between optical waveguides, can decrease the distance between the optical waveguides, and can be made small-sized and highly integrated. <P>SOLUTION: A clad layer 2 is provided on a substrate 1 and two cores 3a and 3b are provided in the clad layer 2. Thin-film heaters 5a and 5b are provided in an area including areas on the top surface of the clad layer 2 right above the cores 3a and 3b. Further, a radiator 8 is provided on the top surface of the clad layer 2. The radiator 8 is of a comb shape surrounding the thin-film heaters 5a and 5b and a portion of it is formed in an area 9 between the cores 3a and 3b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
