<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable connector enabled to firmly fit with stability to a corresponding circuit board, with its support leg parts easy to manufacture, with an excellent mechanical strength and with a firm connection to a shield. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of conductive terminals 3 includes contact parts 31 capable of electrically connecting with contact connectors and tail parts 32 exposed outside a base 11 and coupled with a circuit board. A shield 14 at least includes a contact frame opening 211 covering around a contact tongue plate 12 of the insulator main body 1 and a fixing body 215 bent downward and extended from a bottom wall of the contact frame opening 211, and the fixing body 215 is equipped with support parts integrally connected with the contact frame opening 211 and fixing leg parts extended downward from the support parts, both of which make up a stepped structure, with the support part made larger than the fixing leg parts.
