PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system in which display means installed at individ ual sensor units are constituted in the same manner as those in conventional cases and by which two kinds of values can be displayed. SOLUTION: The sensor units 2 provided with projection elements and light receiving elements are arranged in a row, so that the light projection elements 24 and the light receiving elements 25 are set to an opposite state between the adjacent sensor units. When a reference value is adjusted, the reference value is displayed on a display panel at one sensor unit 2 from among the sensor units 2, a level of a light receiving signal is transmitted to one sensor unit 2 adjacent to the sensor unit 2, and the level of the light receiving signal is displayed on the display panel.
