PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and simple-structure electromagnetic switching device consuming little electric power in a coil forming an electromagnet, and having a mechanism allowing easy connection when having a control circuit block. SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic switching device, the coil forming the electromagnet comprises a first coil 15a excited at least when closing a contact, and a second coil 15b excited at least in a closing state of the contact. The switching device is provided with a first switch 21 carrying current through the first coil 15a only for a prescribed time according to an input operation signal, and a second switch 22 carrying current through the second coil 15b. After the input operation signal is applied to bring the second switch 22 into an on state, the first switch 21 is brought into an on state.
