PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a color selecting device, the color selecting device, and a cathode-ray tube for easily obtaining a dummy slit having a narrow slit width arranged in a grid body structure of the color selecting device used for the cathode-ray tube with an excellent yield, and capable of preventing a warp of a spring holder. SOLUTION: A slit 25 is formed in a width directional central position (an intermediate position of a welding point) of the spring holder 15. Two narrow slits are juxtaposed on a shaft 22 for shifting the dummy slit 19 formed in a non-porous part 18 of the grid body structure 12 to the right or the left to one etching shaft 21 on at least the upper surface side. A groove is formed so that an upper surface side cross section becomes an almostωshape by performing etching in the narrow slit width from an under surface of the shaft 22 shifted on the upper surface side.
