The regulating valve (1) consists of a hollow housing (4) with two cylindrical ends (5A, 5B) for connecting to a pipe, and having a through passage (6) inside a toroid element controlled by a series of external rollers (8). The rollers are thirty-six in number and have identical cam surfaces (8B) that restrict or increase the passage through the toroid element; they are rotated by a motor through a gear and friction mechanism.
