<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium which hardly gives rise to the destruction and peeling of a recording layer and hardly flaws the surfaces of protective layers even when a hard material comes into contact therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording medium which has the recording layer 16 to be recorded with information on a substrate 11 and records and reproduces the information by imparting energy to the medium from the recording layer 16 side has the first protective layer 21 covering the outside surface side of the recording layer 16, the second protective layer 22 covering the first protective layer 21 and the third protective layer 23 which functions as a front surface covering the second protective layer 22, in which the second protective layer 22 is set in its hardness lower than the hardness of the first protective layer 21 and the hardness of the third protective layer 23 and functions to relieve the point pressure acting from the third protective layer 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
