PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation apparatus without the need for any special work even in the case of revising a position of an operator with respect to an operation table attendant on revision of an observation position and without causing fatigue to the operator in a state that two monitors are supported by stands for the operator performing a surgical operation for its stereoscopic observation. SOLUTION: The observation apparatus is characterized in and configured to comprises: a first support means 1 for freely movably supporting an imaging means 31 capable of imaging a subject within a prescribed first space; a display means capable of displaying a subject image on the basis of an imaging signal from the imaging means supported by the first support means; a second support means 15 for freely movably supporting the display means within a prescribed second space; and a mobile control means 52 for controlling a moving amount of the second support means on the basis of the moving amount of the first support means.
