PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater structure capable of compactly containing a fine and long carbon heating element and applying high voltage. SOLUTION: The heater structure consists of an envelope (12) having a heating element-containing space (12a) of a non-oxidizing atmosphere in the interior thereof and hermetically sealed portions (12b) at the ends thereof, a plurality of protecting tubes (13) encapsulated in parallel with each other in the envelope (12), a carbon heating element (14) contained in each of the protecting tubes (13) and power-supply members (16), (17) provided so as to pass through the hermetically sealed portions (12b) while retaining the hermetic seal thereof, a connecting part (21a) of one power-supply member (16) projected into the heating element-containing space (12a) is connected to an end of the carbon heating element (14) contained in any of the protecting tubes (13), a connecting part (21b) of the other power-supply member (17) projected into the heating element-containing space (12a) is connected to an end of the carbon heating element (14) contained in any other protecting tube (13') than the protecting tube (13), and the carbon heating elements (14) contained in the protecting tubes (13), (13')... are directly connected to each other.
