PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a low-resistance display electrode in a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: Transparent electrode 9 having a prescribed pattern shape is formed on a front-face substrate 2, and a base electroconductive layer 20 having a width narrower than the transparent electrode 9 and resistivity lower than the transparent electrode 9 is formed on the transparent electrode 9. A resist layer 21 having an opening broader than a width of the base electroconductive layer 20 on the base electroconductive layer 20 is formed on the front-face substrate 2, and is electroplated with the transparent electrode 9 and the base electroconductive layer 20 as plating electrodes, so that a main electroconductive layer 22 is formed on the transparent electrode 9 and the base electroconductive layer 20. A coating layer 23 is formed on the main electroconductive layer 22, and the resist layer 22 is removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
