PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical disk device thin while making an optical disk cartridge thin. SOLUTION: In the optical disk cartridge 2 comprises an optical disk 22 which has at its center part a hub member 21 mounted removably on a rotary part 11 fixed to a spindle motor 12, a cartridge main body 23 which contains the optical disk rotatably, and window part and an opening part which are formed on a one-side opposite surface part of the cartridge main body: a projection member 3 is provided which restricts the position of the optical disk in the direction Z of its axis of rotation by making a non-recording surface part 22b of the optical disk abut against the internal surface of the other-side opposite surface part 23b of the cartridge main body facing the part 22b. This projection member 3 is projected only on the circumference facing the outer circumferential part of the non-recording surface part 22b of the optical disk on the internal surface of the other-side opposite surface part of the cartridge main body. An elastic member 21b of the hub member formed of three layers generates elastic force in the direction to the non-recording surface part side in the direction of the axis of rotation of the optical disk.
