PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup without securing any space for adjusting the skew of an objective lens on the side of the arranging position of an optical system. SOLUTION: The optical pickup 1 is provided with an actuator holding part 2 arranged on the base, the optical system 3 arranged at one surface side B<SB>1</SB>of the actuator holding part, the actuator 4 arranged at another surface side B<SB>2</SB>of the actuator holding part while having the objective lens 5 for converging a luminous flux emitted from the optical system on the recording surface of an optical disk D and a tilting mechanism 25 for controlling the tilt of the objective lens, and a movement direction changing means 6 for adjusting the skew of the objective lens in the manner of moving the actuator to the direction Y parallel with an optical axis by operating the movement member 7 from the direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the objective lens.
