PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk unit whose skew adjustment is simplified in an assembling process. SOLUTION: The peripheral surface of a helical cam 9a on which one end of a shaft 5a is placed has a first inclined part 20, a second inclined part 21, and a horizontal part 22 between the first and second inclined parts 20 and 21 so as to change the height of the shaft 5a. Since the helical cam 9a has the horizontal part 22, the height of the one end of the shaft 5a is uniquely determined by assembling so as to position the one end of the shaft 5a for supporting an optical pickup 4 on the horizontal part 22 of the helical cam 9a.
