PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a picture display device and to improve the reliability. SOLUTION: Bent parts 8 are formed in four peripheral sides of a plate-like member 7, and rear buffer materials 12 which have projecting parts 12a formed and are elastic are arranged in the bent parts 8. The bent parts 8 position an image display part in the periphery of a rear plate 2. Wiring for connecting a display panel and a drive circuit passes through an opening placed adjacently to the bent part 8 of the plate-like member 7 placed in the rear of the display panel.
