PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary seal for substantially minimizing or eliminating leakage loss passing through a chord hinge seal. SOLUTION: This gas turbine has a chord hinge seal (46) between an inner rail (52) of each nozzle segment (41) and an annular seal face (54) directed to the axial direction of a nozzle supporting ring (44). A flexible auxiliary seal (70) is arranged between the support ring and an inner band (38) of the nozzle segment on a low pressure side of the chord hinge seal. For the purpose of minimizing or eliminating a leaked flow passing through the chord hinge seal, the flexible seal extends between the inner rail and the seal face of the supporting ring on the inside in the radial direction of the chord hinge seal. A first edge (74) of the flexible seal is engaged in a linear groove carried by the inner rail. An edge (78) on the opposite side extends like a bow, and is seal-engaged with the nozzle supporting ring. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
