The method of making a pleated cloth involves placing mouldings strips (3) on a support cloth (1). The mouldings strips take and retain folds in a stable fashion to keep the support cloth also folded or pleated. The support cloth can be extensible and the support strips can extend parallel to each other. The strips can be fitted to the cloth by cut outs.
