<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device in which the change of pitch of sampling sound of back chorus, shouting or the like can be conducted with minimum tone quality change employing a relatively simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: Music data being constituted of stream audio data and music sequence data are stored in a memory 13. A sequencer 14 reads the music sequence data from the memory 13 and outputs the data to a sound source circuit 9. The circuit 9 generates music sound based on the output of the sequencer 14. A driver 16 reads the stream audio data from the memory and outputs the data to an audio reproducing circuit 17. The circuit 17 extends the output of the driver 16. A pitch change circuit 18 divides the data being inputted by a fixed waveform length, computes a window function, conducts an alignment process based on a pitch change instruction and conducts waveform synthesis.
