PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and a device in which dislocation of the aggregate of electrode terminals for sealing can be inspected and discriminated precisely and in mass production way. SOLUTION: A light of nearly uniform brightness is irradiated on one main face side of an electrode terminal 9 with packing of which one main face side is protruded 6a and a packing 7 is press-fitted and inserted in the collector rod 5 jointed to the other main face, and, by image processing the reflecting image of the light irradiated face, at least respectively three inspection regions a<SB>1</SB>,...b<SB>1</SB>,... are specified at the protruded circumference region of the electrode terminal and the packing outer periphery region. Then, the reflecting images of each specified inspection region are processed for photographic density in multi-stages and then the coordinate axis corresponding to local variation of the difference of density for each inspection region is calculated, and by comparing the calculated image center coordinate axis of the electrode terminal 6 at the protruded circumference region 6b and the packing outer periphery region 7b, the dislocation distances to the image center coordinate axis are calculated and acceptability is decided and discriminated.
