PRESENT LOCATION CALCULATING DEVICE, NAVIGATION SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a present locating calculating device to accurately calculate its present location by utilizing a net map acquired through a network. SOLUTION: The present location calculating device stores in advance a net map which is the route data to a destination (S110) and calculates the candidates of the present location including the net map (S120 and S130). When the device acquires the net map in this way, the device has a possibility of acquiring the data about such a new route that is not shown on a navigation map. Namely, the device calculates the candidates of the present location by using the route data of the net map on which actual road data have a fair chance of being shown in an early stage and the road data of the navigation map indicating detailed road information. Then the device selects one candidate out of the candidates of the present location (S160) by referring to the weighted information between the navigation map and net map (S150).
