PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant resin composition flame-retarded without a halogen-based retardant. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises a base resin, (A) at least one flame retardant selected from (A1) the double salt of an amino group-containing nitrogen compound with polyphosphoric acid, (A2) the salt of an amino group-containing nitrogen compound with polymetaphosphoric acid, (A3) polyphosphoric amide, (A4) the salt of an amino group-containing nitrogen compound with sulfuric acid, pyrosulfuric acid, an organic sulfonic acid, an organic phosphoric acid or an organic phosphinic acid, and (A5) a cyclic urea compound, and (B) at least one flame-retardant auxiliary selected from (B1) a phosphorus-containing compound, (B2) an aromatic resin, and (B3) an inorganic acid metal salt. (A) The flame retardant may be melamine polyphosphate-melam-melem double salt, melamine polymetaphosphate, polyphosphoric amide, melamine sulfate, melam pyrosulfate, melam organic sulfonate, a melamine organic phosphate, melamine organic phosphinate, or the like.
