PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring device which can obtain an accurate distance measurement result and is provided with a plurality of light emitting parts. SOLUTION: Lights are emitted from at least one pair of light emitting parts 11a and 11b adjoining each other, and they are reflected on an object 16, and the light receiving position of the reflected lights is detected by a detecting means 12. The light receiving positions at the time when the light emitting parts 11a and 11b give a light individually and at the same time are stored in a storage part beforehand. During actual measurement, the light receiving positions at the time when they give a light individually and at the same time are compared with the stored light receiving positions in the storage part, and the necessity of correction is judged. If the correction is needed, the light receiving position at the actual measurement and that stored in the storage part are together used to correct a distance to the object 16.
