TAPE DRIVING CONTROLLER AND DRIVING CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably halt a tape without damaging the tape and a mechanism in detecting the end of the tape in tape fast-feeding and rewinding.

SOLUTION: When an end detecting means 11 detects the end of the tape in the course of high-speed tape feeding, a rotation direction control means changes the rotation direction of a motor 3 to feed an idler gear 13. The idler gear 13 is alternately engaged with a reel stand 1 and a take-up reel stand 2 to halt tape travelling.
