<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting packet data in a communication system by which conventional problems can be solved. <P>SOLUTION: The packet data are transmitted by successively carrying out a process for receiving a packet data stream based on an Internet protocol, a process for transmitting an entire header packet having the entire header information of the data stream, a process for transmitting at least one compressed header packet having a compressed header containing a part of the entire header information, a process for sensing whether or not the entire header packet is received on a receiving side, and a process for transmitting the respective packets remained in the data stream as a compressed header packet when it is sensed that the entire header packet is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
