<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which has satisfactory balance of light irradiating a liquid crystal panel with simple constitution and also has high use efficiency of the light. <P>SOLUTION: A fluorescent tube L is so installed that its aperture part 6 faces a reflecting plate 8 stuck on the internal surface of a back light chassis 7 and a 1st light deflecting member 11, etc., is provided below the fluorescent tube L along the length of the fluorescent lamp L to make well-balanced light incident on a diffusion plate 9, so the balance of the light irradiating the liquid crystal panel 20 is improved and the use efficiency of the light increases since the thickness of the diffusion plate 9 need not be adjusted so much. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
