<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device having a small failure rate by obtaining and mounting a phase correction element which can be produced at a high yield by reducing the resistance change due to heating of an electrode, etc., of the phase correction element, suppressing property dispersion and achieving small secular changes of a resistance value of the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The phase correction element is furnished with a liquid crystal 14, which is an anisotropic optical medium held between a pair of substrates 11 and 17. Electrodes 12, 16 for applying voltage to the liquid crystal 14 are formed on the confronted respective surfaces of the substrates 11, 17, and one electrode 16 consists of a tin oxide film. Further, a plurality of power feeding parts 20 for supplying voltage are formed at respectively different positions. The phase correction element thus obtained is arranged between the light source and objective lens of the optical head device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
