<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label switching network capable of reducing the number of network resources and operation cost and solving a scalability problem on a large scale network. <P>SOLUTION: When a fault a1 of a label switching path is detected by an LSR (label switching router)-F 3 (a2), the LSR-F 3 retrieves an LSP (label switched path) fault information retrieving table stored in its inside and solves which protection point is informed of a failed label switching path and which contents of an LSP fault are to be informed of. After the resolution, the LSR-F 3 informs the protection point of LSP fault information a3.
