PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord excellent in corrosion propagation resistance and improved with total elongation at break widely. SOLUTION: This steel cord obtained by twisting N pieces of strands obtained by twisting 2 pieces of steel filaments is provided by applying a profiling of changing as a 2-dimensional wavy shape in a cord axis direction under a strand arrangement so that the cord profile becomes flat, and regulating the profile shape and profiling under prescribed conditions.
