PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a sound approximate to that from a sound source by removing static electricity generated in a conductor by irradiating it with negative ions thereby reducing noise. SOLUTION: A basic material 1 of synthetic rubber is admixed with powdery ceramics and kneaded. The basic material 1 being used on the apparatus side of a cord is prismatic and provided with a through hole 4 for passing a cord and a cut 5 thus constituting a noise suppressor 7, 8 (fig. b). The noise suppressor 7 is fitted to the vicinity of the plug 14 of an earphone body 10 and the noise suppressor 8 is fitted to the vicinity of a fork part 12 thus constituting an earphone 16 (fig. a). On the periphery of the noise suppressor 7, 8, 500-2,000 negative ions are generated per cm<SP>3</SP>and static electricity is removed through irradiation of negative ions thus suppressing noise being generated from static electricity.
